Learning Systems International (LSI), a division of METCOR, Ltd., announced today that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded the firm the VistA Scheduling Enhancements Training contract. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is embarking on a major transformation effort to redefine the way it schedules appointments for Veterans and their families, focused on a more patient-centered care environment. In support of enhancements to the scheduling process, LSI will provide a train-the-trainer program that reaches the entire VHA network. LSI will author course content, deliver virtual instructor-led training to Super Users throughout the VHA enterprise, and will follow up with on-site coaching at all of the VA Medical Centers to assist the Super Users as they begin delivering training for medical center staff. LSI will also provide ongoing remote coaching and help desk support throughout the training delivery lifecycle.
“We are proud to have the opportunity to serve those who serve our Veterans,” said James Muldoon, CEO of LSI and a United States Air Force Veteran himself. “VA is preparing a world-class workforce to meet unprecedented challenges in scheduling and patient access. LSI looks forward to helping them with that mission.”
The VistA Scheduling Enhancements Training program is contracted through the VA’s Employee Education System (EES), and will support education for every medical center throughout the VA network.
